Resident Engineers

(Construction Inspection) - Full Time

We are currently seeking experienced Resident Engineers in bridges, highways, sewer, storm, water main, sidewalk and pavement projects in New York City.

Responsibilities:
The RE is the representative of the Commissioner at the site of work. The RE is expected to:

- Supervise and Manage the construction inspection and field staff
- Manage all permits, submittals, insurance, correspondence, meetings, payments, overruns, change orders, schedule, costs, other agencies and stakeholders, the community and Subs
- Review all reports, submittals, shop drawings, certifications and data sheets
- Maintain all records according to MURK and the City’s Manual
- Supervise the Contractors, his Subs and other Consultants
- Monitor the issuance of safety related permits, approvals and drawings and maintain copies on site
- Monitor all construction related activities and confirm conformance to the policies and specs and all applicable regulations with accordance to DOT
- Maintain documentation and periodically attend meetings and safety meetings

Requirements:
- P.E. License (NICET IV please apply).
- Resident Engineer Experience managing with DOT, DDC, MTA and/ or major government agencies in NYC.
- 10+ years overall construction inspection experience, preferably with DOT and/ or DDC.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Excellent references required.

Civil Engineers/ Project Engineers/ Office Engineers

Full Time

We are currently seeking experienced Resident Engineers in bridges, highways, sewer, storm, water main, sidewalk and pavement projects in New York City.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction inspection activities
- Maintain all project records in accordance with contract requirements
- Prepare and distribute project correspondence/ records, performance reporting, administration and scheduling, documentation of project meetings and reporting
- Support the RE and Inspectors on the review and validation of contractor quantities, payment packages, schedules, progress reports, overruns, change orders, RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Help design and field teams in various civil engineering tasks.
- Manage all office work and check all daily reports. Filing and backing up all records.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or possess equivalent education and experience.
2-10 years of experience, preferably with NYCDDC and/ or similar projects.
Experience with traffic planning, MPT and civil engineering practices preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required. Computer savvy.
Excellent references required.

Senior Inspectors and Inspectors

(Construction Inspection) - Full Time

We are currently seeking experienced Resident Engineers in bridges, highways, sewer, storm, water main, sidewalk and pavement projects in New York City.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect daily construction activities and monitor the construction progress.
- Take field notes and measurements and develop sketches as needed.
- Complete daily inspection reports, including daily quantities of work completed.
- Coordinate construction contractor activities with local residents and businesses.
- Perform oversight of controlled inspections and materials testing.
- Knowledge of NYCDDC SCOP, DOT specs, protocols and government procedures.
- Assure general compliance with DDC, DOT, and other agency standards and specifications.
- Assist with office engineering duties, material received, checking daily quantities, and postings.

Requirements:
- NICET Level III certification or possess equivalent education and experience.
- 2-10 years of experience, preferably with NYCDDC and/ or DOT on infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferable.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing and OSHA Certs are preferable.
- Excellent references required.
